چکیده
Methylene blue is used for bacterial staining in microbiology and as an antidote drug medicine. In this study, we aimed to investigate the antimicrobial effects of methylene against Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex clinical isolates. Seventeen stored M. isolates were included study. The inoculated into Mycobacteria Growth Indicator Tubes incubated Automated Mycobacterial Detection System. tubes containing at critical concentrations 0.2, 2, 20, 1000 µg ml-1 control tube prepared. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed using System which gold standard second line anti-tuberculosis testing. At end six susceptible all concentrations. Five only blue. Three 20 Susceptibility rate found 94% when proportion accepted 400 GU (1/100 control). Significant relationship observed between administered survival statistical analysis. We conclude that may become a potential agent due its well-known side dosing regimens.

In vitro activity of roxithromycin against the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex.
Roxithromycin has recently been shown to possess significant in vitro activity against a variety of atypical mycobacteria such as the M. avium complex, M. scrofulaceum, M. szulgai, M. malmoense, M. xenopi, M. marinum, and M. kansasii and rare pathogens like M. chelonei and M. fortuitum. In the present investigation, screening of its in vitro activity was further extended by testing it against 3...
متن کاملBiochemical heterogeneity of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex isolates in Guinea-Bissau.
Fifty-six strains of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex from patients in Guinea-Bissau were examined by using four biochemical tests (niacin production, nitrate reductase, pyrazinamidase, and resistance to thiophen-2-carboxylic acid hydrazide). The isolates were divided into five different biovars within a spectrum ranging from classical human M. tuberculosis to classical M. bovis.

Abstract Background and Objective: A high level of homogeneity observed within all bacteria in the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex makes a property that seriously challenges traditional biochemical-based identification methods of these pathogens in the laboratory. The work presented here was conducted to characterize Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex isolates in Golestan, Northern Iran. ...

The MIC of the novel antituberculosis (anti-TB) drug AZD5847 was determined against 146 clinical isolates from diverse geographical regions, including eastern Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia, using the automated Bactec Mycobacterial Growth Indicator Tube (MGIT) 960 system. These isolates originated from specimen sources such as sputum, bronchial alveolar lavage fluid, pleural fluid, abs...

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES Methylene blue (MB), a thiazine dye is used in the treatment of various methemoglobinaemias. However, sporadic reports have shown some antimalarial therapeutic effect when administered to patients with clinical manifestations of malaria. The inhibitory concentration of schizont maturation and antimalarial activity of MB have not been fully elucidated. The present study t...
